About the Event

Join us for a free friendly and informative session led by seniors, for seniors. This peer to peer information session will explore what ageism is and how negative attitudes and stereotypes about ageing can impact older people.

During the session, you will learn how ageism can show up in everyday life, how it can lead to unfair treatment, and why it is important to recognise and challenge these behaviours. The presenters will also share practical ways to speak up for yourself and support others, along with simple tips for building confidence, staying informed, and ageing positively.

Delivered in partnership with Encompass Legal and Community Services and the Older People’s Rights Service, this session provides a supportive space to learn, share experiences, and connect with others. It is ideal for anyone who wants to better understand their rights, feel more confident navigating change, and contribute to a respectful and inclusive community.

This event is part of the Mandurah Seniors Centre’s free monthly information sessions, featuring guest speakers from community service providers. Sessions are open to all community members.

Bookings are essential. Please contact Mandurah Seniors Centre Administration on 9550 3799 to book.
