The Australian Fire Danger Rating System (AFDRS) lets you know how dangerous a fire would be if one started in your area. Fire Danger Ratings are issued daily and provide important information so you can take action.

BEN signs help emergency services find you faster during an incident on the beach. More than 150 BEN signs are installed along Mandurah’s coastline.

Create a personalised emergency plan before a disaster happens. Knowing what to do and keeping your property well maintained can help reduce damage and injury. The planning tool on Emergency WA helps you prepare for bushfires, cyclones, floods and storms.
If you link your plan to a watch zone in the Emergency WA app, you’ll receive alerts when there’s an emergency in your area. You’ll also get clear steps to follow, such as contacting family and friends, packing an emergency kit and moving to a safe place if needed.
Local Emergency Management Plans
Local Emergency Management Plans (LEMPs), also known as Local Emergency Management Arrangements (LEMA), outline how the City and local emergency services work together to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. These plans detail local hazards, community risks, roles and responsibilities, coordination arrangements and the resources available during an emergency.
The plans support a coordinated approach across agencies and help ensure the community is informed, prepared and able to respond effectively when emergencies occur.
