Business support and training
The City offers a range of business support services to help Mandurah businesses start, grow and thrive. This includes business training programs, workshops and one-on-one advisory support.
For broader state-wide support, the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) provides free advisory services, workshops and online resources for small businesses across WA.
Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants: A State Government initiative delivering grants to stimulate economic growth in regional WA. RED Grants for the Peel region are delivered by the Peel Development Commission.
Peel Job and Skills Centre: A free State Government service at South Metropolitan TAFE Mandurah offering career, training and employment assistance for job seekers and businesses. Contact: 13 64 64 / [email protected]

IPS Business Advisory: A free WA State Government funded service providing expert advice to small businesses in the Peel region, including home-based businesses and start-ups. Covers business planning, marketing, tax and financial advice, HR and IT.
Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI): Member services including employee relations, workplace health and safety support, training and skills development, and economic research.
Visit Mandurah: The local tourism organisation for the Peel region, supporting tourism operators with marketing and business development opportunities.
WOTSO Mandurah: Co-working space in Mandurah offering drop-ins, flexible office space and meeting rooms — suitable for businesses at any stage.
The City has partnered with the Australian Taxation Office to offer free online masterclasses for small business owners. Sessions are designed to strengthen your business knowledge across a range of financial and regulatory topics, with the opportunity to ask questions directly to experienced tax officers.
Topics include starting a small business, GST, cash flow, record keeping, tax deductions, home-based business deductions, personal services income, using business money and assets, and hiring and paying workers. Sessions run at various times throughout the year.
