Tims Thicket Road upgrades
The City of Mandurah will carry out works to upgrade Tims Thicket Road (between Taurus Close and Jandu Way) in Dawesville in March.
The upgrades will include widening the road and repairing level connections to create a smoother drive and increase the road’s longevity. Additional works such as kerbing, shoulder grading, and line-marking will also be completed.
These works are funded by the WA Regional Road Group and the City of Mandurah.
Timeline
Enabling works will begin on Monday, 2 March and are expected to be completed by mid-April.
Road closures
Tims Thicket Road will be temporarily closed for four days from 9-12 March to ensure profiling and asphalt works can be completed safely.
The closure will begin at 7am each day and be in place during working hours only. The road will re-open when works have concluded at the end of each day.
Access will remain open for local traffic during the closure. However, beach access via Tims Thicket Road will be closed during the hours of the road closure.
This will be the only closure during the works period.
Dawesville Waste Management Centre
Cleanaway’s Dawesville Waste Management Centre will be closed during the road closure period from 9-12 March.
The Waste Management Centre will remain open as per usual hours outside of the road closure period.
